"Rhydin Etiquette 101"

Part 3: Romancing Rhydin

Lesson 1: In the beginning...

Boy meets girl... Boy woos girl... Boy beds girl... Boy marries girl... This use to be the "norm", but not in this day and age. In reality, you can have "Boy meets boy" and "Girl meets girl". But then you can have "Dragon meets Vampire" and countless other combinations in this land of Rhydin. The lesson here is that anything is possible.

Lesson 2: The Meeting

When looking for love, you have to know where to go. Like making a friend, the multitudes of inns and tavern are the best for this. Upon spotting a potential lover, you have to befriend and get aquinted. The importance of reading one's profile/life scroll is high. You can't afford to get involved with an unavailable individual. Finally, be yourself. Playing mind games will only get you into trouble or worse.

Lesson 3: Dating and Sex

Now you found your lover... Dating and Sex is next in line in the affairs of love. I don't have a fixed amount of time for a couple to date before they can have sex. All I will say is that you date as long as you and your lover are together, sex can come as fast as the first meeting. Sex between you and your lover is YOUR business, but be warned... that great moment of lust/love (Depending on your view of life) can be your last.

Lesson 4: Marriage and Parenthood

You and your lover want to unite in marriage... That's great! But you must know that marriage is a commitment that you two must be willing to work on for as long as you enjoy life with one another. Parenthood is the next line, 'less you had children out of wedlock. Parenthood is another commitment that's vital for the well being of the child. A happy and strong couple will have strong children. This is more or less the ideal, but in a society like Rhydin or any other land, ideals are not always followed with many outcomes.

Lesson 5: The Many Faces of a Lover

In this life, one must learn the different kinds of lovers that awaits you. Learn about them and choose what you want for yourself.

Lover A, The Virgin: Virgins are the innocent/budding lovers. Their lack of experience can be a both a drug and a nail in a foot. Many older men/woman love virgins for it bring them power... the power of being the "first", "teacher", "master/mistress" of a new sexually open being. Other people see virgins as immature, uptight, "no fun" people.

Lover B, The Flirt: Flirts are the players in love. They are not really serious about a relationship, just really loves the attention that people can give them without getting too close to a person.

Lover C, The Whore: Whores are sexually molded people that only see sex as a means of living in a social world. Whores comes in two classes and three levels: Light & Dark ~ Lolita, Nymph & Madam.

The Lolita whore is a woman, most cases young, that was sexually molded before her maturity. The Light one is usually confused, but optimistic, about her sexual awakening... much like a virgin would. The Dark one is spoiled and manipulative. She's like a child that wants everything her way and use sex to achieve their childish desires.

The Nymph whore is a woman that's grown more mature in body and mind, but have a high craving for sex and what bounty it can bring her. The Light one only seek to live and have fun. The Dark one is very much like a Lolita in her manipulativeness and spoiled view of life, but grows bitter with time.

The Madam whore is a well seasoned woman that is not as sexually needy as the Lolita and the Nymph, but uses her sexuality like a pro to live the good life. The Light one is sophicated and social, not really showing that she's a whore on a first impression. The Dark one is bitter, calculating, and stealthy in her ways.

Lover D, The Stud: The Stud is the male counterpart of the Whore. And just like the Whore, the Stud has two classes and three levels: Light & Dark ~ Buck, Hunk, & Playboy.

The Buck is very much like the the Lolita on every level, but instead of being manipulative, the buck will more or less be aggressive.

The Hunk is the male nymph. Though very much like the Nymph, he's more of a showoff and has a body to do just that. And like the Buck, can be aggressive, but only when needed.

The Playboy is the sophicated socialite. Will use his wit and charm to win hearts. And be as dangerous as the Madam when he doesn't get his way.

Lover E, The Romantic: The Romantic is a person that enjoys pleasing his/her lover. He/She will go out of their way to make their lover happy via gifts, trips, and quality time.

This is the simple look at the many lovers in this existence, but no one is really any one of this... We are a mix of these very ideals. This just opens your eyes more to understand the lover you have or seeking to have.

Lesson 6: Mun Love

I wish to teach you all a very important lesson, mainly to your muns. Like in the last lessons I taught, I shared with you all about your muns. Now we will learn how to not to let your mun ruin your life when it comes to love.

Then muns RP with other muns, they form a connection. Connection varies with people and time. There are times when a mun falls in love with another mun that they have been RPing with for a long time or deeply within a story line (SL). This is where problems occur. Being that the mun is taking on a persona, which you all are, the mun is no longer his/herself. When the mun wants to push the persona away for love, the mun must know this to be a risk, since the other mun may not want to do the same.

It's vital for the mun to never let his/her emotions overwhelm their thinking. RPing is all fantasy to a mun and to bring reality into a fantasy can be a bad mix. If you are going to pursuit love with another mun, I warn you to be careful and wise in your actions. It's so easy to lose control and make a mess of a good RP.
